Card Battle System ⚔️
Battle your cards against opponents in quick 5v5 matchups! Each card's ATK and DEF stats determine the outcome.
How Battles Work
- Select your team — Pick 5 cards from your collection
- Face opponents — Each card battles head-to-head against an opponent card
- Compare stats — Your card's ATK is compared against the opponent's DEF and vice versa
- Score rounds — Win the majority of 5 rounds to win the match
- Earn rewards — Victories earn trophies and bragging rights
ATK vs DEF Mechanics
Each round compares two key stats:
| Stat | Source | Role in Battle | Max Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| ⚔️ ATK | WikiRank Popularity | Your offensive power | 15,000 |
| 🛡️ DEF | Article content length | Your defensive strength | 15,000 |
The combined stat total (ATK + DEF) of each card determines the round winner. A card with ATK 9,000 + DEF 7,000 = 16,000 beats a card with ATK 5,000 + DEF 4,000 = 9,000.
Team Building Strategies
🏆 The "All-In" Strategy
Stack your team with 5 high-rarity cards (SR+ or better). Expensive to build, but dominant when you have them.
⚖️ The "Balanced" Strategy
Mix 2–3 strong cards with cheaper cards. Win the key rounds, accept losses on filler slots.
🎯 The "Specialist" Strategy
Use cards that excel in one stat. High-ATK cards from viral articles (high popularity) can overwhelm opponents even at lower rarity.
💡 Pro tip: A R card about a trending topic can have higher ATK than an SR card about an obscure subject. Popularity matters!
Best Cards for Battle
The strongest battle cards tend to be:
- Famous historical figures — High popularity = High ATK (e.g., Einstein, Napoleon)
- Comprehensive articles — Long content = High DEF (e.g., World War II, Solar System)
- Legend Rare cards — Near-max in both stats
Trophies & Rewards
Win battles to unlock trophies that track your achievements. Some trophies require specific win conditions like winning with only Common cards or achieving a perfect 5-0 sweep.
